BobbyZ, that serial number dates the OP's amp to 1962.as I noted. You are correct about the covering. FWIW, in your pic, someone is 'breaking the law'.there is a liquid drink sitting on top of a wide panel Fender tweed amp. I have a footpedal just like that grey pedal there.two buttons, Ampeg embosed in the plastic. I am waiting for the amp to come around looking for its pedal!!! (;^) It has a 1/4' plug on it and is very handy.
Folks try to buy it for use with other amps, but I know that somewhere there is an Ampeg that is lonely for its pedal. Wally that's not a real tweed Fender it's just one I hacked together getting a relic treatment.
Right now it's in the smoking area at the local potato prossesing plant for the nicotine stain and cigarette burn treatment. (they always come back smelling like rotten potatoes though) Ampeg changed alot just in the time those two RRs where built.

Q: I want to store my cabinet for an extended period of time. What do I need to know? A: Our cabinets are able to handle extremes in temperatures quite well,. This 1967 Ampeg B-15N is equipped with all the original hardware including original cover and original dolly, and original Ampeg 15' speaker. If you think you would enjoy the warm tones of a classic bass amplifier and the B-15's unique 'look', then you don't want to miss getting this one.
Footswitches, grillcloth (if original? Think it is?) the reverb pans are mounted on diffirent sides of the cab, the newer one (on right) has those goofy screws instead of Phillips heads and I'm sure there's more. Been meaning to spend some time dating them and finding out the rest of the changes but this summer I've been busy restoring vintage lawn furniture.
